Note on leather, natural stone and one-of-a-kind pieces

Our belts are made from genuine, vegetable-tanned leather and natural stone buckles—both living, natural materials that make every texture, color and grain unique. That’s why the shade, pattern or surface may differ from the photos on the website. This is not due to defects, but because leather and stone, as natural products, vary—and monitors (laptop, tablet, phone) display colors and contrast differently.

We always focus on the highest quality: the leather is carefully selected, intentionally not dyed to look uniform, and features subtle, natural nuances. Each stone buckle is cut individually, so no two stones are alike.

Please note: Color variations, grain, or slight differences in texture and surface of leather and stone are not grounds for a complaint; they are characteristic features of genuine leather and natural stone—and they highlight the uniqueness of your belt.

Care instructions for full-grain cowhide belts

Our vegetable-tanned, full-grain cowhide belts should be treated once a year on the front and side surfaces with colorless leather grease. After a drying time of approx. 24 hours, gently polish the treated areas with a dry cotton cloth. This keeps the leather supple, durable, and maintains its natural sheen.

Please let the belt dry slowly—not in direct sunlight, on a radiator, or near an oven.

Note: A newly purchased belt does not need any care in the first year.

Measuring your belt size correctly—how to find the perfect fit

The right belt size is crucial for comfort and fit. That’s why we make our leather belts individually to measure—for a fit that truly suits you. Whether casual or formal: with us, you determine your perfect belt length yourself.

Important: Belt size does not correspond to the belt’s total length, but to the measurement from the buckle to the hole you use.

Option 1 – Using a belt that fits well

Measure the length from the start of the buckle to the hole you actually use. This measurement is your belt size.

Option 2 – Using a tape measure

Measure your body circumference where you wear the belt. The measurement you read is your belt size.

Women: waist, hips or in between
Men: usually hips

Option 3 – Using string & a folding ruler

Wrap a string around your waist or hips, mark the length, then measure it with a folding ruler.

Which size should you choose if you’re between two measurements?

If your waist measurement falls between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger one. Even better: a custom-made belt, tailored exactly to your measurements.

Conclusion

Measuring your belt size is easy—and ensures your leather belt fits perfectly. Use an existing belt or a tape measure. For the best result, we recommend an individual made-to-measure belt.
